Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information
The plain answer
TrueFix Charlotte does not sell personal information. We don’t trade it, rent it out or hand it to other businesses for their own marketing, and we don’t use it to target advertising at you on other websites. Details you give us are used to arrange and carry out the repair you asked for.
Why this page exists
No North Carolina statute currently gives consumers a broad, across-the-board right to stop businesses from selling their personal data. A number of other states do, and their laws let residents tell a business not to sell their data or using it for targeted advertising. We keep this page because we would rather say clearly what we do than leave you to wonder, and because we treat an opt-out request the same way wherever you live.
What about cookies?
The site uses Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. That information helps us run the website; we don’t use it to show you ads. If you would rather not be counted, block cookies in your browser or install Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we read it as a request not to sell or share your information, which matches what we already do.
Sending a request anyway
You are welcome to put an opt-out on record, for example so it is in place if our practices ever change. Use the request form on our homepage and write “Do not sell or share” in the notes, or email truefixcharlotte@gmail.com. We don’t need proof of identity for an opt-out, only enough detail (a name and phone number or email) to match it to our records. If we ever decide to sell or share personal information, we will update this page and our privacy policy first and give you a simple way to say no.
