Repair work across the county
Iredell County was formed from Rowan County in 1788, and Statesville is its county seat. Its most populous municipality, though, is Mooresville, in the southwestern corner of the county on the eastern side of Lake Norman.
Our Iredell coverage is the Mooresville area: ZIPs 28115 and 28117. Those take in the Town of Mooresville, the unincorporated lake communities west of it, and a small part of 28115 that lies in Rowan County. Every address in either ZIP is served; Statesville, Troutman and the rest of the county are outside our area.
A technician comes to the home, finds what failed, and explains it with a price. You decide whether to go ahead, and if the appliance isn't worth repairing, you'll hear that plainly.
Mooresville and Lake Norman
Mooresville incorporated in 1873 around a railroad stop and later textile mills, and its downtown is a historic district. It is now known for NASCAR race shops and the Lowe's headquarters. Lake Norman, North Carolina's largest man-made lake, lies a few miles west of downtown and supplies the town's drinking water.
The ZIP 28117 side runs toward the lake and is mostly newer: lakefront houses, subdivisions, townhomes and apartment buildings. ZIP 28115 holds the town center, older streets and subdivisions to the east.
What lake living means for appliances
Lake homes often carry extra refrigeration, outdoor kitchens and a laundry pair that runs hard in summer. Pollen and humidity clog the front grilles of undercounter units, and outdoor equipment sees weather that kitchen appliances never do.
Some houses stand empty for stretches. If yours does, close the washer valves when you leave, keep the heat on through hard freezes, and consider a freezer alarm, since nobody is there to notice a failure.
Power and gas around Mooresville
Duke Energy supplies electricity to much of Mooresville, and EnergyUnited, headquartered in Statesville, serves parts of Iredell County. Gas cooking and drying are common in the newer subdivisions, and plenty of homes are all-electric.
The technician confirms the fuel before working on a range, cooktop or dryer. At any hint of gas odor, leave the house, then call your gas utility or 911 from outside.

Ready to get it looked at?
A technician comes to your home anywhere in Iredell County and diagnoses the appliance on the spot. You see the price before any work starts.
The Mooresville area: ZIPs 28115 and 28117, including addresses outside town limits along Lake Norman and the part of 28115 in Rowan County. Statesville, Troutman, Harmony and the rest of the county use other ZIPs and are not in our service area.
Yes. ZIP 28117 runs west to the lake and covers the shoreline communities there. Tell us whether the appliance is in the kitchen, on a lower level or in an outdoor kitchen, so the visit is planned around reaching it.
It is a town, incorporated in 1873, though it is the largest municipality in Iredell County. More than half of the people in ZIP 28117 live outside its limits, in unincorporated Iredell. That makes no difference to us; the ZIP is what we go by.
Duke Energy serves much of the town, and EnergyUnited, a member-owned electric utility, serves parts of Iredell County. Check your bill if you're not sure. It matters when several appliances fail after a storm, since the outage or surge should be reported to your supplier.
