Your Privacy Rights

Last updated: October 12, 2026

We hold a small amount of personal information: mostly names, contact details, addresses and notes about appliances we have been asked to repair. The privacy policy lists it in full. This page explains what you can ask us to do with it.

Where the law stands

As of the date above, North Carolina has no comprehensive consumer privacy statute that gives residents general rights to access or delete data held by businesses. State law does protect against identity theft and requires notice of security breaches, and residents of several other states, California among them, have broader rights under their own privacy laws. Rather than sort customers by state, we offer the requests below to everyone. Where a law that applies to you gives you more, we follow that law.

What you can ask for

  • A copy. What personal information we have about you, where it came from, what we use it for and which kinds of service providers handle it.
  • A correction. Fix a wrong address, misspelled name or out-of-date number.
  • Deletion. We will delete what we can. Some records, such as invoices and proof of text-message consent or opt-out, may have to be kept for tax, legal or dispute reasons; we will tell you what is kept and why.
  • No sale or sharing. We already don’t sell or share personal information for advertising; the do-not-sell page explains more.
  • Fewer messages. Reply STOP to texts at any time, and use the unsubscribe link in any promotional email.

Making a request will not change the price or quality of any repair we do for you.

How to make a request

Use the request form on our homepage and describe what you want in the notes field, or email truefixcharlotte@gmail.com, or call (980) 441-1116. Someone you authorize can ask on your behalf if they show us your written permission.

Before releasing or deleting anything, we check that the request really comes from you, usually by matching your name with the phone number or email we already have. We won’t ask for more than we need to do that.

When you will hear back

We aim to answer within 45 days, the period most state privacy laws allow. If we need longer, we will tell you why within that time. If we turn a request down, we will explain the reason, and you can ask us to look at it again. North Carolina residents can also contact the Consumer Protection Division of the North Carolina Department of Justice with a concern, and South Carolina residents can contact the South Carolina Department of Consumer Affairs.
